"Shropshire schools" pages

The links between individual schools in Shropshire were coming to an end by the time we had to take a break from providing support in Jidda due to political unrest in the adjacent area. We managed to deliver the final items of equipment and books before it became hard to access the area. The pages linked below describe the situation up to that point.

Radbrook Primary School, Shrewsbury (linked with Dembel school)

Stokesay Primary School, Stokesay (linked with Arabsa Chifera school)

St Giles School, Shewsbury (linked with Debeli Ganjo school)

St Lucia’s Primary School, Upton Magna (linked with Wagna Dega Nasiri school)

Lawley House, Church Stretton Secondary School (Abebe Bikila High School )

Wakeman School, Shrewsbury, though no longer in existence, must be thanked for the generous donation of a very large quantity of brand new sports clothing which was shipped out to Jidda after the children at the school were told about the needs of school children in Jidda. This clothing was shared out between all of the schools that are supported by SHEPEthiopia.

SHEPEthiopia’s Shropshire school supporters

SHEPEthiopia raises funds in many ways and is supported by many people, acting individually, or as part of organizations.

One very special part of our fund-raising effort is the support that we have received from Shropshire school children (and their teachers, and their parents). They heard about the lives of children in Jidda through regular updates from our team of volunteers, and then put lots of energy into making a difference.

For an overview of our support for education services in Jidda see our Education page.

SHEPEthiopia is a working name for the "Support for Health and Education Projects in Ethiopia", UK charity No. 1161261
